2.3 Screen Content and Temporary Data Processing
Important Note About Magnifying Glass Mode:
When you use Screen Magnifier in magnifying glass mode, our framework temporarily records a screencast of the designated screen area to display the magnified image in the magnifying glass window. This is essential for the magnification functionality. However:
- No Storage: Screen content is processed in real-time only and is never saved to your device or our servers
- No Transmission: No screen content is transmitted to our servers or any third-party servers
- Local Processing Only: All magnification processing occurs locally on your device
- Immediate Deletion: Screen captures are discarded immediately after being displayed in the magnification window
2.4 Information We Do NOT Collect or Store
- Persistent Screen Content: We do not store, save, or retain any screen content after magnification
- Personal Files: We do not access or collect your personal documents, images, or files beyond temporary magnification
- Browsing History: We do not track your web browsing or application usage outside our app
- Screen Recordings: Despite using temporary screencasting for magnification, no recordings are saved or transmitted
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide and maintain the Screen Magnifier service
- Customize your magnification experience based on your preferences
- Improve app performance and fix technical issues
- Respond to your support requests and feedback
- Send important updates about the app and service changes
- Analyze usage patterns to enhance accessibility features
- Ensure app security and prevent abuse
4. How Magnifying Glass Mode Works
To provide accurate magnification, Screen Magnifier uses the following technical process:
4.1 Temporary Screen Capture
- When magnifying glass mode is activated, the app captures a live screenshot of the selected screen area
- This capture happens continuously in real-time to provide smooth magnification
- The captured content exists only in your device's temporary memory (RAM)
4.2 Local Processing
- All image processing and magnification occurs entirely on your local device
- No screen content is uploaded to our servers or transmitted over the internet
- The magnified image is generated and displayed locally in the magnifying glass window
4.3 Immediate Disposal
- Screen captures are automatically discarded as soon as they are no longer needed for display
- When you close the magnifying glass or switch modes, all temporary screen content is immediately purged from memory
- No persistent files or caches containing screen content are created on your device
4.4 Privacy Protection
- This process ensures you get the magnification functionality you need while maintaining complete privacy
- Your screen content never leaves your device
- The temporary nature of the processing means there's no risk of data persistence or exposure
